Some of you may have heard about or even partaken in the body for life 12 week challenge. Well over the next 12 weeks I will be taking up this challenge with some of my work mates. As an inclusion to the 12 week program I will be quitting smoking and I will also be cutting Coca-Cola from my diet.
The program involves a healthy eating program in conjunction with a regular fitness program, The eating plan suggests eating 6 small meals a day to allow your metabolism to remain active all day thus you loose weight. The fitness plan is over 6 days alternating between muscle development and cardio workouts.
Fighting the addiction of caffeine and nicotine will definitely be a challenge I have been smoking since 2003 and I have been drinking coke all my life and not by small amounts I usually drink about 2-3 liters a day at least. I have it as soon as I wake up, for morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner time, and before I go to bed. It’s a bit scary knowing that the first thing I do when I wake up and the last thing I do before I go to bed is have a smoke and a glass of coke.
Well as of NOW (because Tomorrow never comes) that has all changed. With the development of my mindset over the last few months I know that I am at my strongest mentally now than ever before in my life. So now it is time to bring my body up to the level of my mind.
I will keep you up to date on my progress via this blog, It will not be easy going cold turkey on this but I have plenty of support and I know that I have a great chance of success.
In the mean time wish me luck!!!

Over the weekend just past I went camping with my partner and a few work buddies. It was a good time to sit back and reflect on my progression for personal development thus far.
I was thinking about how far I have developed my mind so far... and how much I still have to learn and develop, I realised that the quest for personal development will never end and it reminded me of a quote that an Olympian, Steve Moneghetti once told me.
Theres a Beginning a Middle and... another Beginning!
So my learning and development will continue as per the afore mentioned quote.
So far in my journey I have been focusing on my mind and my education of the B and I quadrant's from Robert Kyiosaki's Cash Flow Quadrant.
Now it is time for the next step to be added to my development.
MY BODY...
The Secret!

Yesterday I was given a documentary called 'The Secret' from a mate of mine, it is an excellent introduction to the 'Law of Attraction' something which until now I had never heard of.
I watched it with great interest and took in a lot of what was said, however I think that I will need to watch it a few more times and do a bit more research on the topic to truly understand it.
One thing that I have been thinking a lot about since watching it, is the power of energy and how it is all around us everyday, yet we don't really know that much about energy. Everything in the Universe is made up of energy in one form or another.
Another aspect of the documentary that I have now adapted to my life is the use of a 'Gratitude Rock'. A gratitude rock is just an ordinary rock that I now carry around with me in my pocket, Every time that I see the rock or feel the rock I am reminded to just take a second and think about some of the things that I am grateful for. So every morning and night, when I fill and empty my pockets I take a second to be grateful and though-out the day when I get something out of my pockets and feel the rock in them I take a second to be grateful.
One of the analogy's that I liked was as follows: When you take a long drive at night you don't need to see the destination. You only need to see the 50 to 100 meters in front of you that your lights shine on. So long as you can see the next step or the next piece of road you will still get to where you are going.
The Law of Attraction states that the way you act and think will determine the things that you will attract. For example: If you are negative and are always concentrating on the negatives you will attract negative people and negative things. If you are positive and think positive you will attract positive people and positive things.
Another saying that I have heard recently also says a similar thing but in another way: 'Birds of color flock together' - Have you ever seen a crow in a flock of flamingos. Crows are by nature scummy and dirty, The poor birds. The flamingos are majestic and beautiful, the rich birds.
As a part of my life change I will be discharging from the military, as a result I attended a 3 day transition seminar focused on the change from military life to civilian life. Over the 3 days we had speakers talk on subjects such as
- Job interview techniques
- Resume writing
- Financial planning
- Superannuation
- Starting a Small Business
- and more....
- Who you are - You need to identify who you are as an individual.
- Vision - Identify where it is you want to be in your life, set goals and achievements.
- Method - How are you going to achieve your vision and become who you want to be.
- Time and Space - Give yourself enough time and space to achieve your vision.
- Flexible - Remain open to change and adapt to change.
If you find yourself not growing to the height that you would like to, Then change your environment to allow for you to grow to greater heights.
I also read somewhere that if you want to become successful you need to surround yourself with successful people, or people that have the same ambitions as you.
Over all a good 3 days that will definitely assist in the movement from the military to the civilian life.
Since watching the DVD I couldn't help myself wanting to know more about the investment strategies that Jamie used. So I did some research and found some books that I thought might have some interesting ideas in them.
I have now read 2 books cover to cover and have started a 3rd, To most people that wouldn't seem like an achievement at all but for myself whom has never read a book cover to cover before it was a significant milestone.

Hello,
My name is Gavin Reddrop I am a 24 year old Australian who is trying to learn how to live a life through blogging with the aim of completely replacing my 9 to 5 job with an online income.
I am by no means a writer and actually struggled with English during my schooling so if the words on the page at times don't make sense then I do apologise in advanced.
I am married with 1 kid and another due any day now and that is my inspiration to make this work because if I can replace my current income with an online income I will have more time to spend with the family and will be able to create a better life for Myself, My Family and those around me.
